JetBlaster JB1050 (2022-2025): Yamaha's Sit-Down Freestyle WaveRunner, Redesigned for 2025

Yamaha introduced the JetBlaster in 2022 as its sit-down freestyle WaveRunner. It is a light, playful machine for carving and tricks, in the Rec-Lite segment. The 2023 bikes came in Black and Acid Green with graffiti-style graphics and a minimalist console. For 2025 Yamaha redesigned it and broadened the range to JetBlaster, DLX 2up, DLX 3up, LTD, Pro 2up and Pro 3up. Reviewers note that the engine is easy to reach for service, easier than on the rival Spark or any other WaveRunner in Yamaha's fleet.

Power comes from the TR-1 High Output engine, a 1,049cc three-cylinder with an 82mm x 66.2mm bore and stroke and an 11.0:1 compression ratio. It has open-loop water cooling and electric start, and it drives an axial-flow pump through direct drive. The hull is Yamaha's NanoXcel2 material on the 2023 bikes, with a progressive stepped-V design. Every WaveRunner except the rental VX-C comes with Yamaha's RiDE dual-throttle system for forward, neutral and reverse control, and the JetBlaster has it as well.

Confirmed figures for the three-seat model list a 117-inch length, a 45-inch width, a 44-inch height, a 600-lb (272 kg) dry weight, a 13.2-gallon fuel tank and 8.8 gallons of storage. The DLX adds bow storage, a reboarding step, mirrors and two-tone stern mats. Standard equipment includes a speedometer and tachometer. 2025 US pricing runs from $7,999 for the base JetBlaster to $11,799 for the Pro 3up and LTD.

This factory service manual covers the procedures, torque specs, and diagrams needed to keep a 2022-2025 Yamaha JetBlaster JB1050 running the way it was built to.
