Antares 100/110/130 (1989-1996): SAME's Genuine Row-Crop Workhorse Family, Scaled Across Three Power Classes

SAME built the Antares 100, 110, and 130 as a genuinely tiered lineup of 4WD row-crop tractors, produced in Italy across roughly 1989-1996, each sharing a common design philosophy but scaled to progressively higher power outputs — a genuinely broad range covering everything from moderate general-purpose farm work up to serious heavy-duty field applications.

Power scales meaningfully across this range: the Antares 100 runs a SAME 4.0-litre, 4-cylinder turbocharged intercooled diesel engine delivering a rated 100 hp at 2,500 rpm through a 105mm x 115mm bore and stroke; the Antares 110 steps up to 110 hp; and the range-topping Antares 130 delivers 125.4-130 hp through a genuinely larger 6.0-litre, 6-cylinder turbocharged diesel — a real jump in cylinder count and displacement rather than just a horsepower badge change, reflecting the significant additional workload the flagship 130 was built to handle. All three models run 4x4 MFWD (mechanical front-wheel drive) configuration.

Transmission options genuinely vary depending on model and specific configuration: tractor-info's own spec sheet for the Antares 130 lists a choice between a 24-forward/12-reverse gear setup or a more sophisticated 48-speed partial power shift, while other sources document 30-40-speed configurations across the family — a real reminder that correct transmission identification against the specific tractor's serial number and options matters before ordering parts or attempting drivetrain service. The Antares 130 specifically delivers a substantial 13,671 lb rear lift capacity, hydraulic wet disc brakes, power steering, and a 15.2 gpm hydraulic pump flow, with standard 540/1000 RPM rear PTO and an optional independent front PTO for running powered implements. Optional air-conditioning was available across the range for genuine operator comfort during long field days. Dimensions on the Antares 130 run 182.28 inches long and 111.81 inches tall on a 108.27-inch wheelbase, weighing roughly 11,025 lbs and running 16.9R30 tires front and rear, with a 60.8-gallon fuel tank supporting genuinely long working days without refueling.

This factory service manual covers the procedures, torque specs, and diagrams needed to keep a SAME Antares 100/110/130 tractor running the way it was built to.
