V85 TT (2024-2026): Moto Guzzi’s Classic Enduro, Updated with Variable Valve Timing and a Six-Axis IMU

Moto Guzzi calls the V85 TT its “Classic Enduro.” It’s inspired by the big African-style trail bikes of the 1980s, with a high front fender and dual headlights echoing the Moto Guzzi NTX 650 and Quota 1000. The 2024 update, unveiled at EICMA in 2023, was a meaningful refresh, and the range now has three versions: the road-oriented V85 Strada, the V85 TT and the better-equipped V85 TT Travel. The TT has cross-spoke tubeless wheels (19-inch front, 17-inch rear), cornering ABS, traction control, a new rear rack, a bash plate and handguards, in four riding modes including Off-Road. The Travel adds a five-position touring windscreen, side deflectors, panniers, heated seat and grips and the MIA connectivity system, in Bronzo Deserto only.

The engine is the 853cc air-cooled, 90-degree transverse V-twin with titanium intake valves, now with variable valve timing and knock sensors. It makes 80 hp at 7,750 rpm, 4 hp more than before, and 83 Nm (61 lb-ft) at 5,100 rpm, and meets Euro 5+. It has ride-by-wire fuel injection, a 6-speed gearbox and shaft final drive. Moto Guzzi says the changes improved fuel economy, and a French source quotes about 4.9 L/100 km.

The chassis offers 170mm of travel at both ends, with a hand-operated preload dial on the rear shock. The new six-axis IMU enables lean-angle-sensitive traction control and cornering ABS. The re-sculpted fuel tank holds 23 litres. Tires are a 110/80-19 front and a 150/70-17 rear. The 2024 TT weighs about 230 kg (507 lbs) and the Travel about 243 kg (536 lbs). UK launch prices were £12,000 for the TT and £13,300 for the TT Travel.

This factory service manual covers the procedures, torque specs, and diagrams needed to keep a Moto Guzzi V85 TT running the way it was built to.
