Indian Super Scout 1250 (2025): The Fully Loaded Flagship of the All-New SpeedPlus Scout Line
For 2025 Indian launched an all-new Scout lineup, with a completely redesigned SpeedPlus 1250 engine and a new steel tube frame that makes customization easier, and the Super Scout is its “fully loaded and ready to go” model, starting at $16,499. It sits second only to the 101 Scout in the lineup. It has a chrome-polished two-into-one exhaust and teardrop-shaped mirrors, with infotainment as a headline feature, and Indian says the Scout’s 25.6-inch seat height is the lowest in its class. More than 100 accessories were added to the Scout catalog in four categories: Commuter, Overnighter, Stealth and Open Roads.
The new SpeedPlus engine is a 1,250cc liquid-cooled 60-degree V-twin, DOHC with four valves per cylinder and semi-dry-sump lubrication. Bore and stroke are 104mm x 73.6mm, with a 12.5:1 compression ratio, and a closed-loop electronic fuel injection system with a 63mm throttle bore and a ride-by-wire throttle feeds it. Claimed power is 105 hp at 7,250 rpm (111 hp on the 101 Scout), with north of 82 lb-ft of torque at 6,300 rpm. The transmission is a 6-speed with a wet multi-plate clutch, and the engine recommends 91-octane fuel.
The chassis has a 29-degree rake and 4.8 inches (122mm) of trail on a 61.5-inch (1,562mm) wheelbase, with a lean angle of 33 degrees and 4.4 inches (113mm) of ground clearance. The Super Scout is 89 inches (2,260mm) long, 36.1 inches (916mm) wide and 48.3 inches (1,226mm) high. Seat height is 25.7 inches (654mm) laden and 26.8 inches (680mm) unladen.
The tank holds 3.4 gallons (13 litres), and the gross vehicle weight rating is 988 lbs (449 kg). The Super Scout weighs about 571 lbs (259 kg) dry and 589 lbs (268 kg) in running order, making it the heaviest of the Scouts.
