TC510 (2006-2007): Husqvarna's Half-Liter Motocrosser, Built as a Parallel-Bore Twin to the TC450

The TC510 shares its fundamental architecture directly with the smaller TC450 — Husqvarna bored the same DOHC engine platform out to 500.82cc specifically to create a genuine big-bore alternative within its four-stroke motocross range, with every other feature identical between the two models except displacement. Power comes from that 500.82cc liquid-cooled single, fed by a 41mm Mikuni TMR carburetor, delivering drive through a 6-speed manual transmission with chain final drive and kick starting.

2006 brought both the TC450 and TC510 into the red-and-white colorway that's since become closely associated with the brand, alongside genuine hardware upgrades that year: 50mm Marzocchi forks and a 240mm rear disc. The following year's model carried real internal refinement rather than a cosmetic-only update — Husqvarna reworked the clutch basket and kick shaft specifically to improve smoothness and rideability.

Suspension pairs the 50mm Marzocchi fork with an Öhlins rear shock, braking through a 260mm front disc and 240mm rear disc. Standard equipment includes a single seat, a high-mounted front fender, an engine protective plate, and a single exhaust with the muffler mounted high on the right-hand side, riding on wire-spoke wheels with off-road tires. Weight comes in at a genuinely light 102.0kg (224.9 lbs).

Because the TC and TE lines from this era share substantial electrical and lighting architecture, sourcing headlight, wiring harness, or switchgear components from a TE-badged sibling is a genuine, viable option if OEM TC parts are hard to find for a specific example within this range.
