TC250 (2006-2007): The Small-Bore Sibling Sharing Its DOHC Four-Stroke Architecture With the TC450 and TC510

JD Power's own confirmed factory specifications for both the 2006 and 2007 model years confirm this is genuinely a four-stroke machine, not a two-stroke — a 249.5cc single-cylinder DOHC engine fed by a carburetor, run through a 5-speed manual transmission with chain final drive and kick starting only. That's an important distinction from Husqvarna's earlier TC-badged two-stroke motocrossers of decades past — by this generation, the TC name covers the brand's four-stroke motocross line exclusively, sharing its fundamental cylinder-head architecture with the larger-displacement TC450 and TC510 sold alongside it.

Autoevolution's own confirmed account of the closely related TE250 enduro (sharing this same engine family) lists a 38mm Keihin MX carburetor and a 12.9:1 compression ratio — JD Power's own confirmed TC250 spec sheet matches that same compression figure exactly, confirming genuine shared engine architecture between the motocross TC and enduro TE variants of this displacement class.

Braking uses hydraulic discs at both wheels, riding on Pirelli tires — 80/100-21 front and 100/90-19 rear — on a 58.5-inch wheelbase with a genuinely tall 38.2-inch (970mm) seat height. Autotrader's own confirmed 2007 pricing lists a $5,999 starting MSRP, positioning this as the genuine entry point into Husqvarna's four-stroke motocross range that year, below the larger-displacement TC450 and range-topping TC510.

This factory service manual covers the procedures, torque specs, and diagrams needed to keep a 2006-2007 TC250 running the way it was built to.
