Husqvarna 701 Supermoto 2019 Service Manual

Husqvarna says the 701 Supermoto has a “fun factor that is second to none on the streets”: a high-performance machine focused on agility, maneuverability and maximum power. With 74 hp, advanced electronics and a state-of-the-art chassis at just 319 pounds, it captures the thrill of the race track and brings the pure riding essence of supermoto to the street. It’s built on a chromoly steel trellis frame with a self-supporting polyamide rear subframe that has the 13-litre tank built in. The 17-inch spoked wheels with aluminum tubeless rims (3.50 x 17 and 5.00 x 17) carry road tires, and there’s a 48mm WP upside-down split-function fork and a WP shock with Pro-Lever linkage. The ride-by-wire throttle and a Bosch ABS with a disengageable supermoto mode let it be ridden hard.

The engine is a 692.7cc liquid-cooled SOHC single with four valves, a 105mm x 80mm bore and stroke and a 12.7:1 compression ratio, with pressure lubrication from two oil pumps. A 50mm Keihin throttle body feeds it, with Keihin engine management (ride-by-wire) and twin ignition. Husqvarna claims 74 hp (55 kW) at 8,000 rpm and about 71 Nm (52.4 lb-ft) of torque at 6,750 rpm. The gearbox is a six-speed with an APTC slipper clutch (hydraulically actuated) and chain final drive.

The front suspension has about 215mm (8.4 inches) of travel and the rear about 250mm (9.8 inches). Brakes are a 320mm front disc with a Brembo four-piston radial caliper and a 240mm rear disc with a single-piston floating caliper, with Bosch 9M+ two-channel ABS. Tires are Continental ContiAttack 120/70ZR17 at the front and 160/60ZR17 at the rear. Rake is about 26 degrees, with 101-112mm of trail on a 1,480mm (58.3-inch) wheelbase, and about 270mm of ground clearance.

Seat height is 890mm (35 inches). The tank holds about 13 litres (3.4 gallons). The 701 Supermoto weighs about 145 kg (320 lbs) dry.
