Honda CRF250RX 2025-2026 Service Manual

Honda starts with the CRF250R, including all of its 2025 upgrades, and turns it into the off-road racer with an 18-inch rear wheel, special ECU settings, handguards, a sidestand and a larger fuel tank. It has slightly softer suspension than the motocross bike and an off-road-tuned ECU for smoother, less abrupt power. The 2025 updates include an updated frame, a new subframe mounting point and a one-piece suspension linkage. The fork has new springs and Bending Control Valves, and there’s a redesigned airbox, revised ECU maps and a revised exhaust. The 2025 US price was $8,699, and Honda notes the bike is for closed-course use only. Owners upgrading from a 2022-2024 RX can carry over the gas tank and seat, including an oversize tank.

Power comes from the same 249cc liquid-cooled DOHC single as the CRF250R, with PGM-FI and a 44mm throttle bore. The injector is tipped back at a 60-degree angle so the spray reaches the throttle butterfly, which gives a cooler, denser charge for more power and torque. The engine and transmission share one oiling system, which saves weight and makes the engine more compact, and the clutch has nine plates for durability. Final drive gearing is 13/50, and it has electric start. Measured torque was about 18 lb-ft at the rear wheel.

The chassis uses a twin-spar aluminum frame with narrower main spars and a low rear shock mount. Suspension is a 49mm leading-axle inverted Showa fork with 12.2 inches of travel and a Pro-Link Showa shock with 12.3 inches. Tires are Dunlop Geomax AT81, a 90/90-21 front and a 110/100-18 rear on a D.I.D DirtStar rim. The 18-inch rear lets the RX use a taller sidewall to absorb impacts. The rear brake is a single 240mm disc.

Confirmed figures list a 2.1-gallon (about 8-litre) fuel tank, which is 0.4 gallon larger than the CRF250R’s, and a curb weight of 242 lbs.
