The frame-mounted fairing draws directly on the classic FXRT Sport Glide, a shape favored for decades by West Coast customizers — Harley VP of Design Brad Richards specifically credited the FXRT's dominant central headlamp and side vents as the genetic starting point, reworked with sharper creases for a more modern, aerodynamic profile.

Power comes from the Milwaukee-Eight 117 — new to the Softail range that year and, at launch, the largest displacement engine Harley had ever factory-installed, at 1,923cc via a 4.075 in. bore and 4.5 in. stroke. It delivers a claimed 125 lb-ft of torque at 3,500 rpm through electronic sequential port fuel injection, feeding a tuned Heavy Breather intake and high-flow exhaust. A Showa 43mm inverted cartridge fork sits at a 28-degree rake, and remote hydraulic spring-preload adjustment on the rear shock lets riders dial in the ride without tools.

The ST designation earns its keep with genuine sport-touring hardware: a frame-mounted fairing, lockable hard saddlebags trimmed to standard bag height for a cleaner look and more lean angle, and an available Rockford Fosgate audio system. Everything stays blacked-out — front end, controls, powertrain, and exhaust — with only pushrod tubes, tappet covers, and machined cylinder fins left bright. Dimensions run 93.1 in. long with a 28.3 in. seat height, riding on Michelin Scorcher 31 tires over a 19-/16-inch Radiate wheel combo in matte dark bronze.
