Fat Bob 107 (2018): All-New for Harley's 115th Anniversary, 22 Pounds Lighter

2018 brought a genuinely all-new Fat Bob, timed to Harley's 115th Anniversary and built on the completely reworked Softail platform that absorbed the Dyna lineup that same year. Ultimate Motorcycling's launch review didn't hold back: the dual-counterbalanced Milwaukee-Eight 107 delivers tractable, predictable power across the entire rev range, exacting throttle response, and near-flawless fueling, making it equally at home carving canyons or cruising city streets.

The air/oil-cooled Milwaukee-Eight 107 delivers a claimed 107 lb-ft of torque at 3,500 rpm, with a 3.937 in. bore and 4.374 in. stroke on a 10.0:1 compression ratio, run through a 6-speed gearbox with belt final drive and a 2-into-1-into-2 dual-side upswept exhaust with catalyst in the header. Dealer literature called the new chassis 22 lbs lighter than the outgoing model, backed by all-new inverted front forks for more precise handling and a high-performance mono-shock rear for dynamic cornering while preserving the classic hardtail look.

Styling leans deliberately dark and aggressive: a new hexagonal LED headlight, a never-seen-before asymmetrical tank graphic, and Denim Black Structure cast aluminum wheels with laser-etched graphics, wrapped in fat, aggressive-tread tires — 150/80-16 front and 180/70-16 rear. Dry weight sits at 653 lbs, with a 27.7-inch laden seat height and 3.6-gallon tank. A step-up 114 variant was also available for riders wanting more low-end pull.
