Softail Rocker C FXCWC (2011): The Trick Seat That Hides a Passenger Pillion, and the Widest Rear Tire in the Softail Line

Harley's own description of the Rocker C is short: "designed to turn heads." It has a color-matched frame and swingarm, dual staggered shorty exhausts, LED stop/turn/tail lights, a raked-out front fork, and an ultra-wide rear tire. The standout feature is the Trick solo-style seat, which conceals struts and a passenger pillion so the bike can convert to two-up riding when needed. An exclusive ghost flame paint scheme, and ABS as an option, completed the 2011 package.

Power comes from the rigid-mounted, counter-balanced Twin Cam 96B, an air-cooled 1,584cc V-twin with a 95.3 x 111.1mm bore and stroke, a 9.2:1 compression ratio, and Electronic Sequential Port Fuel Injection. It makes a claimed 125 Nm (92.2 lb-ft) of torque at 3,000 rpm through a 6-speed Cruise Drive transmission with a chain primary (34/46) and a 133-tooth, 20mm belt final drive (32/66 pulleys). New for 2011 were updated hand controls, an odometer trip switch, a single-button hazard warning, and a larger odometer readout with gear and RPM display.

The chassis pairs a 49mm fork with a 90/90HR-19 front tire and a huge 240/40VR-18 rear. Confirmed figures list a 95.0-inch overall length, 130mm of ground clearance, 157mm of trail, and an 18.5-litre fuel tank. Oil capacity is 3.3 litres, and the bike weighs about 307kg dry and 320kg ready to ride. US pricing started at $19,499 in Vivid Black.

The Rocker C first appeared in 2008, and 2011 was its last year. It did not return in the 2012 lineup.
