Street Bob (2020): Two Fists in the Wind, Stripped to the Essence

Harley's own tagline for the Street Bob nails the brief precisely: "two fists in the wind" riding, stripped down to bare essentials. Blacked-out surfaces throughout, spoked wheels, hidden digital instrumentation, mid controls, and chopped mudguards keep the visual weight to a minimum, and the pricing follows suit — this was one of the more accessible entry points into Harley's Softail lineup for 2020.

The Milwaukee-Eight 107 displaces 1,745cc via a 3.9 in. bore and 4.4 in. stroke, with a 10.0:1 compression ratio delivering a claimed 110 lb-ft of torque through a 6-speed gearbox with belt final drive. Independent dyno figures from the same-generation engine have shown output in the range of 74 hp and around 105 lb-ft at the rear wheel. A 2-into-2 offset shotgun exhaust and forward controls with mini-ape "fists in the wind" handlebars round out the stripped-back riding position, backed by a 2.14-inch LCD instrument display, keyless ignition, and USB charging.

Dimensions run 91.3 in. long with a 30-degree rake and 91.3 in. wheelbase, riding on a 100/90B19 front and 150/80B16 rear tire. It carries a 3.5-gallon tank and ships at 631 lbs (655 lbs in running order). 2020 colors included Vivid Black, River Rock Gray, Spruce, Barracuda Silver Denim, and Billiard Red/Vivid Black, with pricing starting at $14,599.
