The new Milwaukee-Eight 117 High Output engine delivers a claimed 114 hp at 5,000 rpm and 128 lb-ft of torque at 4,000 rpm, tuned specifically to deliver peak power higher in the rev range than standard 117 tunes, with new cylinder heads, an aluminum contoured intake manifold, and improved oil cooling. Motorcycle.com's testing found the torque ramp especially noticeable around 3,000 rpm in Sport mode — genuinely exhilarating, though the reviewer felt Harley could smooth the delivery slightly.
