Harley’s tagline for the 2019 CVO Road Glide is “everywhere your eyes rest, you’ll find a custom detail.” The CVO (Custom Vehicle Operations) bike has the frame-mounted shark-nose fairing, red rocker covers with a new Heavy Breather intake, a 21-inch front wheel and an 18-inch rear, and the engine is identified by a bright Blaze Red band on the rocker boxes. It has the premium Boom! Box GTS infotainment system with a wireless interface, two amplifiers, 600 watts of audio and bi-amp speakers in the front fairing and saddlebag lids, and a Boom! Audio wireless headset. The sub-27-inch seat height means a wide variety of riders feel at home. The 2019 US price was $42,339 plus $435 destination.

The engine is the Twin-Cooled Milwaukee-Eight 117, which is exclusive to CVO models. It’s a 1,923cc V-twin with a 103.5-104mm bore, a 114.3mm stroke, a high-performance camshaft and intake and a 10.2:1 compression ratio, fed by Electronic Sequential Port Fuel Injection. Torque is 125-126 lb-ft (about 170 Nm) at 3,500-3,750 rpm, power is about 105 hp at 5,450 rpm, and Harley lists fuel economy of about 41 mpg. The exhaust is a dual system with a crossover, and the gearbox is a 6-speed with belt final drive.

The brakes are four-piston calipers on dual 300mm front discs and a single 300mm rear disc, and the tires are a Dunlop Multi-Tread 130/60R21 63H at the front and a 180/55R18 80H at the rear. Rake is 26 degrees with 173mm (6.8 inches) of trail on a 64-inch (1,625mm) wheelbase, and lean angles are about 33.7 degrees each way. The bike is about 96.9 inches (2,460mm) long and 50.4 inches (1,280mm) high, with about 4.9 inches (125mm) of ground clearance. Seat height is 25.9 inches laden and 26.8 inches (680mm) unladen.

The tank holds 6 gallons (22.7 litres), engine oil capacity is 4.9 litres with the filter, and the saddlebags hold about 2.4 cubic feet. The CVO Road Glide weighs about 849 lbs (385 kg) as shipped and about 884 lbs (401 kg) in running order, with a gross vehicle weight rating of 1,360 lbs.
