Road Glide Special FLTRXS (2020): The Sharknose Fairing, Now Dressed in Special Trim With the Milwaukee-Eight 114

The Road Glide Special sits above the standard Road Glide in Harley's 2020 lineup, carrying the same distinctive frame-mounted Sharknose fairing but stepping up to the larger Milwaukee-Eight 114 engine and a genuinely more comprehensive equipment package.

Power comes from the Milwaukee-Eight 114, a V-twin displacing 1,868cc, fed by fly-by-wire throttle and idle control through a 6-speed transmission with belt final drive and a non-sealed chain primary. Confirmed running gear lists a 49mm fork, 130/60B-19 front and 180/55B-18 rear tires, a 428-size, 86-link chain, and a 140-tooth, 24mm drive belt, with a YIX30L battery.

The Sharknose fairing remains this model's defining visual signature, mounted to the frame rather than the fork so it stays fixed while the handlebars turn beneath it — a genuine mechanical distinction from every other Touring model in Harley's 2020 range except the standard Road Glide sharing this same fairing design.
