Harley Davidson FLSTN Softail Deluxe 2010 Service Manual

Harley's own 2010 spec sheet lists two changes for the year. A new fuel tank sender gives accurate fuel-level readings, and a new helical-cut fifth gear improves transmission sound. The rest of the bike is the classic Deluxe formula. That means chrome laced steel wheels with wide whitewall tires, a chrome seven-inch ball headlamp, a chrome horseshoe oil tank, full-length rider footboards, a two-piece two-up seat, an integrated chrome luggage rack, a tombstone taillight and full-coverage fenders with chrome accents.

Power comes from the rigid-mounted, counter-balanced Twin Cam 96B, an air-cooled 1,584cc V-twin with pushrod-operated overhead valves and hydraulic self-adjusting lifters. It has a 3.75 x 4.38 inch bore and stroke and a 9.2:1 compression ratio, fed by Electronic Sequential Port Fuel Injection. Torque is 127 Nm (93.7 lb-ft) at 3,000 rpm. The gearbox is a 6-speed Cruise Drive, with a chain primary (34/46 ratio) and belt final drive. The powertrain is black powder-coated with chrome covers and a chrome over/under shotgun exhaust.

Confirmed running gear lists a 41mm fork, an MT90H-16 front tire and an MU85H-16 rear. The drive belt is 1 inch wide with 133 teeth on 32/66 pulleys, and the spark plug is an RA8HC, the oil filter an H30292 and the battery a YTX20HL-BS. A Smart Security System with a hands-free fob and optional Chrome Profile Laced Aluminum wheels were available.

Confirmed dimensions list a 94.7-inch length, a 64.5-inch wheelbase, a 32.1-degree rake with 5.8 inches of trail and 4.8 inches of ground clearance. Seat height is 24.5 inches laden and 25.9 inches unladen. The tank holds 5 gallons and oil capacity is 3.5 quarts. Dry weight is 695 lbs (726 lbs in running order). Fuel economy is 35 mpg city and 54 mpg highway, and the US price was $16,799.
