Sport Glide (2022): The Softail Harley Left Alone, and Riders Loved It Anyway

By 2022, the Sport Glide had gone essentially untouched since its 2018 debut — Australian Motorcycle News called it out directly, noting Harley left the model off the updates list year after year, "and that's both good and bad." Good, because the bike that first impressed testers lapping Sydney Motorsport Park in 2019 for its surprising agility hadn't lost any of that character; bad, because a genuinely capable platform kept getting overlooked next to flashier Softail launches.

The Milwaukee-Eight 107 carries on unchanged, rigidly mounted with internal counterbalancing for a smooth ride that doesn't sacrifice the classic Harley feel through the bars. The reinvented Softail frame remains lightweight and nimble for a bike built to do double duty, and the quick-detach fairing and matching hard saddlebags still let it swap between wind-protected touring and stripped-down cruiser duty in a few easy steps, no tools needed.

Styling stays stealthy throughout: a blacked-out engine, aggressive black-highlighted Mantis cast aluminum wheels, and black mufflers, with inverted front forks and a rear mono-shock offering external preload adjustment for tuning the ride to solo, two-up, or loaded-bag duty.
