Introduced fresh for 2018 as one of the debut models on Harley's completely reinvented Softail platform, the Sport Glide arrived with a genuinely novel pitch: a quick-detach front mini-fairing and removable saddlebags that let a single bike swap between wind-protected touring and stripped-down cruiser duty in a matter of minutes — a first for the modern Softail lineup, and a bike built around the same year Harley folded its Dyna range entirely into Softail.

The Milwaukee-Eight 107 delivers a claimed 86 hp at 5,020 rpm and 107 lb-ft of torque at 3,000 rpm, with a 3.937 in. bore and 4.375 in. stroke on a 10.0:1 compression ratio, running through electronic sequential port fuel injection and a 2-into-1 exhaust with catalyst in the muffler. Rigid mounting with internal counterbalancing keeps the ride smooth without sacrificing the classic Harley feel through the bars, while an inverted single-cartridge front fork gave the Sport Glide sharper handling than most of its Softail stablemates that year.

Styling stays deliberately stealthy: a blacked-out Milwaukee-Eight engine, aggressive black-machine-highlighted Mantis cast aluminum wheels, and black mufflers, backed by modern touches including LED forward lighting, a USB port, and keyless ignition. Dimensions run 91.7 in. long with a 30-degree rake, 64 in. wheelbase, and 25.7 in. laden seat height, riding on 130/70B18 front and 180/70B16 rear tires. It carries a 5-gallon tank and ships at 670 lbs (699 lbs in running order).
