Freewheeler FLRT (2025): “Free on Three,” the Stripped-Down Hot-Rod Trike
Harley’s own line is “Free on Three”: a trike with the storage and stability of three wheels and the style and attitude of a traditional, stripped-down Harley cruiser. It has bold styling, bobtail fenders and Mini-Ape handlebars, and it rides on Enforcer wheels. It’s the trike for riders who want to customize their own, and it’s cheaper than the fully dressed Tri Glide. The two-up seat has soft-touch grab handles. The rear suspension has a quick-adjust preload knob, so you can retune it when you add a passenger or load the trunk. The engine’s power goes to the road through a pair of rear wheels, which gives predictable traction on acceleration. Colours for 2025 were Billiard Gray, Vivid Black and Whiskey Fire.
Power comes from the Milwaukee-Eight 114, the most displacement in a standard Harley Touring model. It is a 1,868cc V-twin with a 102mm bore, a 114.3mm stroke and a 10.5:1 compression ratio, fed by Electronic Sequential Port Fuel Injection. Output varies by market from about 83 to 90 hp, and torque is about 157-162 Nm, depending on the market and rating method. Drive is by a 6-speed transmission and belt, and the exhaust is a pair of shorty slash-down chrome mufflers.
Standard equipment includes C-ABS, which takes into account the trike’s lateral acceleration, and a matching linked-braking function, C-ELB. The gauge cluster shows speed, rpm, fuel and voltage, with an odometer, two trip meters, range to empty and a gear indicator.
Confirmed figures list a 2,615mm length, a 1,405mm width, a 700mm (27.6-inch) unladen seat height, 125mm of ground clearance, a 1,670mm wheelbase and 26 degrees of rake with 101mm of trail. Tires are an MT 130/60B19 front and P215/45R18 radials at the rear. The tank holds 22.7 litres, oil capacity is 4.7 litres, and running weight is about 513 kg. Luggage volume is 0.06 cubic meters. US pricing started at $60,495, and the Australian ride-away price was about A$55,250.
This factory service manual covers the procedures, torque specs, and diagrams needed to keep a 2025 Freewheeler FLRT running the way it was built to.
