Harley Davidson FLHXST Street Glide ST 2023 Service Manual

The 2023 Road Glide ST is Harley’s performance bagger, inspired by the Screamin’ Eagle factory team’s King of the Baggers road racing. ST stands for Sport Touring. It’s a blacked-out bike with West Coast styling and black-and-bronze finishes, including bronze Prodigy wheels. Harley gave it the 117-cubic-inch Milwaukee-Eight, an engine previously reserved for the CVO program. It has a frame-mounted Sharknose fairing with dual Daymaker LED headlamps and the Boom! Box infotainment system. A limited-edition Fast Johnnie version, inspired by 1960s and 1970s muscle cars, was part of the Enthusiast Collection. Colours were Vivid Black or White Sand Pearl.

Power comes from the Milwaukee-Eight 117, an air/oil-cooled 1,923cc V-twin with a 4.1-inch bore, a 4.5-inch stroke and a 10.2:1 compression ratio, fed by Electronic Sequential Port Fuel Injection. It has a tuned heavy-breather intake and a high-flow dual exhaust with crossover. Torque is about 125 lb-ft (169 Nm) at 3,500 rpm. The primary drive is a chain with a 34/46 ratio, and the gearbox is a 6-speed. Fuel economy is rated at about 41 mpg.

Harley’s own figures list a 94.7-inch (2,405mm) length, a 64-inch wheelbase and 5.5 inches of ground clearance. Seat height is 26.7 inches laden and 28.1 inches unladen, taller than the other Road Glides, with 26 degrees of rake and 6.7 inches of trail. Lean angle is about 32 degrees right and 31 degrees left. Tires are a 130/60B19 front and a BW 180/55B18 rear.

The tank holds 6 gallons (22.7 litres) with a 1-gallon reserve, and oil capacity is 5.2 quarts. Weight is about 806 lbs as shipped and 842 lbs in running order. Luggage capacity is 2.3 cubic feet. Reflex linked Brembo brakes with ABS are standard, and base pricing started at $29,999 in the US.
