Harley Davidson FLHXS Street Glide Special 2019 Service Manual

The 2019 Street Glide Special “kicks hot rod bagger style into a higher gear,” with the Milwaukee-Eight 114 now standard, and the new big-screen Boom! Box GTS infotainment system, a 6.5-inch edge-to-edge glass touchscreen with GPS. It has a stealthy fork-mounted Batwing fairing with a chopped smoked windshield, a naked front fender, stretched saddlebags and a big fat tank, and everything from the forks and handlebars to the console and exhaust is blacked out. The wheels are Black Talon cast aluminum, 3.5 x 19 at the front and 5 x 18 at the rear, and the twin front calipers pull the bike up with ABS as standard fitment. The 2019 US price was $27,089 plus $435 destination.

The engine is the Milwaukee-Eight 114, a 1,868cc V-twin with four valves per cylinder, a 102.1mm bore, a 114.3mm stroke and a 10.5:1 compression ratio. Electronic Sequential Port Fuel Injection feeds it. Harley claims 122-123 lb-ft (about 163-165 Nm) of torque at 3,000 rpm, European power is about 90 hp at 5,020 rpm, and the exhaust is a black 2-1-2 dual system with tapered mufflers. The gearbox is a 6-speed with belt final drive.

The front suspension is a 49mm Dual Bending Valve fork with 4.6 inches of travel, and the rear has premium low hand-adjustable shocks with about 2.15 inches of travel. Brakes are 32mm four-piston fixed calipers at the front and the rear, on dual 300mm front discs. Tires are a 130/60B19 61H at the front and a 180/55B18 80H at the rear. The rake is 26 degrees with about 6.8 inches (173mm) of trail on a 64-inch (1,625mm) wheelbase, and lean angles are about 32 degrees to the right and 31 degrees to the left.

The bike is about 95.5 inches (2,425mm) long, 37.8 inches (960mm) wide and 52.6 inches (1,335mm) high, with 4.9 inches of ground clearance. Seat height is 26.1 inches laden and 27.2 inches (690mm) unladen. The tank holds 6 gallons (22.7 litres), engine oil capacity is 5.2 quarts (4.9 litres) with the filter, and the saddlebags hold about 2.5 cubic feet. Weight is 798 lbs (362 kg) as shipped and 836 lbs (379 kg) in running order.
