Street Glide FLHX (2023): The Last Year of the Previous-Generation Street Glide

The Street Glide is Harley’s best-known bagger, with a fork-mounted Batwing fairing, a relaxed riding position, stretched saddlebags and an infotainment system. 2023 was the last year of the previous generation. For 2024 Harley redesigned it with the Milwaukee-Eight 117, new fairing bodywork and a 12.3-inch Skyline touchscreen.

Power comes from the Milwaukee-Eight 107, an air-cooled 1,746cc V-twin with pushrod-operated overhead valves and four valves per cylinder. Output is about 86 hp and about 109 lb-ft of torque. Drive is by a 6-speed transmission and belt, and the throttle is fly-by-wire. The higher-spec Street Glide Special carried the Milwaukee-Eight 114.

Harley’s own 2023 figures list a 96.5-inch length, a 37.8-inch width, a 53.1-inch height and a 64-inch wheelbase. Seat height is 26.1 inches laden and 27.4 inches unladen, with 5.3 inches of ground clearance, 26 degrees of rake and 6.7 inches of trail. Tires are Dunlop Harley-Davidson Series, a D408F 130/60B19 front and a D407T 180/55B18 rear.

The tank holds 6 gallons (22.7 litres) with a 1-gallon reserve. Oil capacity is 5.2 quarts with the filter, and the primary chaincase holds 1.1 quarts. Weight is 796 lbs as shipped and 829 lbs in running order, with a gross vehicle weight rating of 1,360 lbs. Luggage capacity is 2.3 cubic feet.
