Harley Davidson FLHX Street Glide 2014 Service Manual

Harley's own line on the standard Street Glide is short and direct: "a bagger with street-wise soul." This was one of eight new-for-2014 models under Project Rushmore, Harley's largest-scale new-model launch in its 110-year history at the time, aimed at four areas: control, infotainment, feel, and style.

Power comes from the High Output Twin Cam 103, a 1,690cc air-cooled V-twin with new cams and a high-flow airbox, delivering a claimed 104.7 lb-ft of torque through a 6-speed Cruise Drive transmission. A redesigned Batwing fairing with a Splitstream vent was engineered specifically to reduce rider head buffeting while keeping the fairing's classic silhouette. The standard model kept its stripped-down, street-inspired character: lowered suspension and a dark, cropped wind deflector, distinct from the plusher, more heavily accessorized Special trim sold alongside it that year.

Standard equipment carried across the whole Rushmore-era Touring lineup that year includes the new Reflex Linked Brakes with ABS, Daymaker LED and dual halogen lighting, and the new Boom! Box 4.3 audio system putting out 25 watts per channel with a factory-tuned equalizer for genuinely louder sound without losing clarity.
