Electra Glide Ultra Limited FLHTK (2019): The Loaded Batwing Tourer with the New Twin-Cooled Milwaukee-Eight 114
Harley’s tagline for the 2019 Ultra Limited is “experience a ride that is anything but standard,” and “for riders who want it all.” It’s loaded, from the new Twin-Cooled Milwaukee-Eight 114 down to the heated hand grips (six settings). It has the classic Batwing fairing with a splitstream air vent that opens and closes with one touch of a button, the all-new Boom! Box GTS infotainment system (a 6.5-inch edge-to-edge glass touchscreen), electronic cruise control, Reflex linked Brembo brakes with ABS, responsive front and rear suspension and a Tour-Pak carrier with room for two full-face helmets. The 2019 US price was $28,089 plus $435 destination.
The engine is the Twin-Cooled Milwaukee-Eight 114, a 1,868cc V-twin with liquid-cooled cylinder heads, four valves per cylinder, a 102.1mm bore, a 114.3mm stroke and a 10.5:1 compression ratio. Electronic Sequential Port Fuel Injection feeds it. Torque is 122 lb-ft (165 Nm) at 3,000 rpm, power is about 90 hp at 5,450 rpm, and Harley lists fuel economy of about 43 mpg. The gearbox is a 6-speed Cruise Drive with a multi-plate wet clutch and belt final drive.
The chassis has a 26-degree rake with 6.7 inches (170mm) of trail on a 64-inch (1,625mm) wheelbase. Brakes are dual front discs and a rear disc with four-piston fixed calipers, and tires are a Dunlop Multi-Tread 130/80R17 65H at the front and a 180/65R16 81H at the rear. The Ultra Limited is about 102.4 inches (2,600mm) long and 37.8 inches (960mm) wide, with a height of about 56.7 inches (1,440mm). Seat height is 27.5 inches laden and 29.1 inches (740mm) unladen.
The tank holds 6 gallons (22.7 litres), and the Tour-Pak and saddlebags hold about 4.7 cubic feet. The Ultra Limited weighs about 877 lbs (398 kg) as shipped and about 910 lbs (413 kg) in running order, with a gross vehicle weight rating of 1,360 lbs.
