Tri Glide Ultra FLHTCUTG (2021): New Traction Control, and a Genuine Engine Upgrade Since the Twin Cam Era
By 2021 the Tri Glide had moved on from the Twin Cam 103 covered in earlier model years and now runs the Twin-Cooled Milwaukee-Eight 114 across the whole range. Harley's own copy highlights all-new traction control as the headline addition this year, sending power where it's needed to help the rider maintain control, alongside Reflex linked brakes with ABS, an all-new 4-speaker BOOM! GTS infotainment system, electronic cruise control, and 6.8 cubic feet of storage space.
Power comes from the Twin-Cooled Milwaukee-Eight 114, a 1,868cc V-twin with a 4.016-inch bore and 4.5-inch stroke and a 10.5:1 compression ratio, fed by Electronic Sequential Port Fuel Injection through a 2-1-2 dual exhaust with tapered mufflers, delivering a claimed 118 lb-ft of torque. Drive runs through belt final drive with a non-sealed chain primary, a 139-tooth belt, and 30/70-tooth front/rear pulley ratio.
Confirmed factory dimensions list a 105.1-inch length, a 27.1-inch laden seat height, 4.9 inches of ground clearance, and a 26-degree rake. It rolls on an MT90HB-16 front tire and two P205/65R-15 rears, riding on the model's signature Tomahawk wheels. Standard equipment includes the iconic Batwing fairing, a Daymaker LED headlamp with LED fog lamps, and premium paint finishes including two-tone options.
Five colorways were offered for this exact model year: Vivid Black, Billiard Red, Gauntlet Gray Metallic/Vivid Black, Deadwood Green/Vivid Black, and Snake Venom. US pricing started at $34,999, with ABS, the Security System, and cruise control all standard rather than optional.
