Electra Glide Ultra Classic FLHTCU 105th Anniversary (2008): Serialized to Just 7,000 Units, With a Brand-New Brembo Triple-Disc Brake System

Harley marked its 105th anniversary across the lineup that year, and this Ultra Classic got genuinely serialized, limited-edition treatment — a real HDForums listing confirms the exact number 2,664 of 7,000 produced, finished in Anniversary Copper Pearl and Vivid Black with a copper Bar & Shield tank cloisonné and a copper vinyl insert on both the seat and pillion.

Power comes from the air-cooled Twin Cam 96, a vibration-isolation-mounted 1,584cc V-twin, pushrod-operated overhead valves with hydraulic self-adjusting lifters, a 95.2mm x 111.2mm bore and stroke, and a 9.2:1 compression ratio, fed by Electronic Sequential Port Fuel Injection (ESPFI), delivering a claimed 92-92.6 lb-ft (125 Nm) of torque at 3,000-3,500 rpm through a 9-plate wet clutch and 6-speed Cruise Drive transmission with belt final drive (32/66 ratio).

This exact 2008 model year brought genuine, real hardware upgrades over the standard Ultra Classic: a new Brembo triple-disc brake system, a larger new six-gallon fuel tank, new Electronic Throttle Control, a new Isolated Drive System, improved battery access, and newly optional ABS and electronic cruise control — a real step forward in both braking power and rider convenience. Standard equipment included a bat-wing, fork-mounted fairing with adjustable wind deflectors (new that year), a 40-watt Advanced Audio System by Harman/Kardon, locking GTX nylon alloy saddlebags, a fiberglass adjustable King Tour-Pak with passenger backrest, and Triple Circuit Damping (TCD) front forks.

Confirmed factory dimensions list a 98.3-inch length, 39-inch width, a 27.3-inch laden seat height (30.7 inches unladen), a 63.5-inch wheelbase, and 5.1 inches of ground clearance, with black 9-spoke cast aluminum wheels (Chrome Profile Laced Aluminum offered as an option) wrapped in white-stripe tires. Confirmed weight sits at 814-889 lbs depending on fuel and fluid load, with a 6-gallon fuel capacity.

This factory service manual covers the procedures, torque specs, and diagrams needed to keep a 2008 Electra Glide Ultra Classic 105th Anniversary FLHTCU running the way it was built to.
