Fat Boy 114 (2018): Willie G.'s Icon Reborn on the All-New Softail Chassis

2018 marked the biggest change to the Fat Boy formula since its 1990 debut — the reinvented Softail platform that year folded Harley's Dyna and Softail lines into one, and the Fat Boy 114 got both a genuinely new chassis and a fresh, more powerful engine choice alongside the standard 107. The signature Willie G. Davidson-designed solid disc wheels carried forward, still instantly recognizable nearly three decades on.

The Milwaukee-Eight 114 displaces 113.99 cubic inches (1,868cc), delivering a claimed 119 lb-ft of torque, run through a 6-speed gearbox with belt final drive. The trademark stance stays fully intact: solid-disc wheels wrapped in a 160/60R-18 front and massive 240/40R-18 rear tire — proportions no other Harley in the lineup shares. A racing-style cartridge fork and easily adjustable rear mono-shock deliver a genuinely more responsive ride than earlier Fat Boy generations, hidden behind the classic hardtail-look Softail silhouette.

Styling stays true to the model's decades-long identity: satin chrome finishes throughout and signature LED lighting for improved night visibility. Dry weight comes in at 670 lbs, with a 5-gallon fuel tank and 93.3-inch overall length.
