Power comes from a 1,099cc liquid-cooled Testastretta Evoluzione L-twin, delivering a claimed 155 hp and roughly 85 lb-ft of torque at the rear wheel, run through a 6-speed gearbox. MCN's own base-model review confirms the engine is "effectively a Ducati 1198 bottom end with 1098 top ends" — genuinely strong, torquey, and lighter than a full 1198 unit. Dry weight on the base bike came in at 169kg (373 lbs), braking through twin Brembo four-piston calipers on 330mm discs.

Bennetts' own buying guide confirms the S trim added Öhlins suspension, Marchesini forged wheels, Ducati Traction Control, and a data logger, and genuinely holds its value better than the base bike as a result.
