Ibex 800 E (2025-2026): "The LC8c Machine KTM Should Have Made Years Ago"
Adventure Rider's own review doesn't mince words about this bike's genuine engineering pedigree: "the 2025 CFMOTO Ibex 800 E is the street-biased LC4c machine that KTM should have made years ago... make no mistake; this is an LC8c design, just like the KTM 990 and 890 and Husqvarna 901 are all LC8c designs, with DOHC and four-valve heads." TopSpeed's own review confirms exactly where that engine comes from, courtesy of a decade-plus CFMoto-KTM partnership: "the engine is from the KTM 790 Adventure and the Ibex's bodywork was designed by Kiska, the European firm that has given KTMs their distinctive styling for years."
Power comes from a 799cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin, DOHC with 4 valves per cylinder and a genuine 270-degree crank, an 87-88mm bore and 65.7mm stroke, a 12.7:1 compression ratio, fed by electronic fuel injection, delivering a claimed 94-95 hp at 9,000 rpm and roughly 56.8-57 lb-ft of torque at 6,500 rpm through a 6-speed wet multi-plate CF-SC slipper clutch transmission with a genuine bi-directional quickshifter and chain final drive.
Rider Magazine's own confirmed testing found real-world fuel economy at 43.8 mpg across more than 1,700 test miles, delivering roughly 219 miles of range from the 5-gallon tank. Standard equipment includes an 8-inch TFT touchscreen with Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, and CFMOTO RideSync connectivity, six ride modes (Sport, Rain, Off-Road, Off-Road Plus, All Terrain, All Terrain Plus), Bosch cornering-sensitive ABS, traction control, wheelie control, cruise control, heated grips and seat, a steering damper, and tire-pressure monitoring.
Suspension consists of a fully adjustable KYB inverted fork offering 6.3 inches of travel and a preload-and-rebound-adjustable KYB shock delivering 5.9 inches, braking through J.Juan 320mm dual front discs with 4-piston radial calipers and a 260mm rear disc with a double-piston caliper. Confirmed dimensions list a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear tubeless spoked wheel combination wrapped in Michelin Anakee Adventure tires, a 32.5-inch seat height, a 60.3-inch wheelbase, and 509 lbs wet. 2025 US pricing was $10,299.
This factory service manual covers the procedures, torque specs, and diagrams needed to keep a 2025-2026 Ibex 800 E running the way it was built to.
