CFX-2E (2024-Onwards): CFMoto's Electric Youth Dirt Bike, Built With a "Magnetic Safety Lanyard" for Emergency Power Cut-Off

CFMoto's own confirmed product copy describes this bike's whole mission directly: "tailored for young riders, the CFX-2E is designed to ignite the passion for riding in the next generation. With a powerful output, 10-inch spoked wheels, a low 21.7-inch seat height, and a lightweight design at just 108 lbs, your new rider will see their riding skills soar."

Power comes from a 48V BLDC electric motor, fed by a 48V, 24Ah lithium-ion battery, delivering a claimed 1.2-1.6kW (roughly 2 hp, figures genuinely climbed across model years) and up to 7.1 Nm (5.2 lb-ft) of torque, run through a direct-drive single-speed transmission with no reverse. Three selectable ride modes let parents match the bike's speed to a child's skill level: Learning at 15 mph, Standard at 22 mph, and Sport at 31 mph — CFMoto's own copy confirms "the e-throttle is specially designed for children over six, featuring a size proportional to a child's grasp, making riding easy to operate," with the default Learning mode enhancing safety and power promptly cuttable via a magnetic safety lanyard in an emergency.

The chassis uses a robust cradle steel tube frame, with a telescopic fork up front and a central monoshock at the rear, both tuned for genuine long-travel off-road comfort. Braking uses hydraulic discs at both wheels, riding on 10-inch aluminum alloy spoked wheels wrapped in knobby tires. Confirmed dimensions list a 52.5-inch length, 24-inch width, 31-inch height, 37.5-inch wheelbase, a 21.7-inch seat height, and a 108-lb curb weight.

CFMoto's own confirmed battery specifications list a 37-mile real-world range and a 5-hour charge time from 0-100%, with the battery easily removable and swappable for convenient charging anywhere. US pricing has stayed consistent at $1,699 across this entire range, offered in Zephyr Blue and Baltic Blue colorways depending on model year.

This factory service manual covers the procedures, torque specs, and diagrams needed to keep a 2024-onwards CFX-2E running the way it was built to.
