675SS (2025-2026): Motorcycle.com's Own Verdict — "If Imitation Is the Best Form of Flattery, Then Triumph Should Be Flattered"
Motorcycle.com's own review is direct about the genuine inspiration behind this bike, while making clear it's not a copy: "if imitation is the best form of flattery, then Triumph should be flattered CFMOTO chose to stick a 675cc Triple in this bike. However, the engine size and number of cylinders is where the similarities end. This is not a knockoff of the Triumph engine, but a clean-sheet CFMOTO design." That same review confirms a genuine dyno-versus-claimed gap worth knowing: CFMoto claims 95 hp at the crank, but real rear-wheel testing measured 79 hp at 10,500 rpm and 46.8 lb-ft at 8,200 rpm — a normal, expected drivetrain loss rather than a red flag.
Power comes from a 674-675cc liquid-cooled inline-three, DOHC with 4 valves per cylinder, a 72mm x 55.2mm bore and stroke, and an 11.5:1 compression ratio, fed by Bosch electronic fuel injection, delivering a claimed 95 hp at 11,000 rpm and roughly 51.6-52 lb-ft (70 Nm) of torque at 8,250 rpm through a 6-speed wet multi-plate CF-SC slipper clutch transmission with an upshift-only quickshifter and chain final drive.
RevZilla's own confirmed coverage notes a genuinely unconventional spec choice: "one area where the 675SS's specs diverge from the norm is the 110-section front tire, instead of the usual 120" — paired with a 180/55-17 rear. Suspension consists of a KYB inverted fork offering 130mm of travel, fully adjustable for preload, compression, and rebound, paired with a KYB central monoshock offering matching travel and preload/rebound adjustability, braking through dual 300mm J.Juan radial-mounted 4-piston front calipers and a 240mm rear disc, backed by dual-channel ABS and adjustable traction control (2, 1, or off).
Standard equipment includes a 5-inch TFT display with Bluetooth, CFMoto RideSync connectivity, over-the-air software updates, a USB-C charging port, tire pressure monitoring, a steering damper, and full LED lighting with integrated turn signals. Confirmed dimensions list a 55.1-inch wheelbase, 31.9-inch seat height, 4-gallon (15.1-litre) fuel tank, and wet weight around 429 lbs. 2025 US pricing was $7,999.
This factory service manual covers the procedures, torque specs, and diagrams needed to keep a 2025-2026 675SS running the way it was built to.
