A real hands-on review from a rider who tested it against benchmark adventure bikes doesn't hold back: dubbed "the unicorn bike" by some reviewers, this CFMoto has weight and power figures very close to the classic BMW R80 G/S, but tastefully modernized with a silky-smooth engine, only essential electronics, and genuine long-distance comfort. That same review found handling on twisty roads light and accurate, though brakes felt wooden fresh out of the crate before bedding in properly.
Power comes from a 449.5cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin, DOHC with a genuine 270-degree crankshaft, delivering a claimed 44 hp at 8,500 rpm and roughly 32.5 lb-ft (44.1 Nm) of torque at 6,250 rpm through a 6-speed transmission with a wet multi-plate CF-SC slipper clutch, reaching a top speed around 90-95 mph. That 270-degree crank is deliberately designed to mimic a V-twin's character, and CFMoto invested real time tuning the exhaust note specifically to reinforce that impression.
Standard equipment includes a KYB inverted fork with 20 adjustable damping levels and roughly 8 inches of travel front and rear, J.Juan brakes, Bosch ABS, switchable traction control, full LED lighting, a 5-inch curved TFT display with over-the-air updates, Bluetooth and CFMoto Ride app connectivity, and a USB-C charging port — genuinely comprehensive electronics for the price point. Confirmed dimensions list a 175kg (385-386 lb) weight, an 820mm (32.3-inch) seat height, 8.7 inches of ground clearance, and a 17.5-litre fuel tank delivering roughly 56 mpg.
