400NK (2022-2023): A Genuine Street-Fighter Twin That Punches Above Its Displacement Class

CFMoto's own confirmed product copy sums up this bike's intent directly: "at the heart of the 400NK is a powerful 400cc, twin-cylinder, inline engine which exhibits the power of 41HP @9500 RPM and torque of 32 NM @7750 RPM, which perfectly expresses the aggressiveness of a street-fighter." That same copy flags the genuine engineering behind the throttle-body sizing: "the BOSCH EFI system with a dual 38mm throttle also contributes to lower emissions."

Power comes from a 400.4cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin, DOHC with 4 valves per cylinder, a 68.4mm bore and 54.5mm stroke, and an 11.1:1 compression ratio, delivering a claimed 41 hp (29.5kW) at 9,500 rpm and roughly 32 Nm (23.6 lb-ft) of torque at 7,650-7,750 rpm through a 6-speed manual transmission with a wet multi-plate clutch and chain final drive, reaching a genuine 140-155 km/h top speed depending on market.

Standard equipment includes a Diamond High Tensile Steel frame, a telescopic front fork, and a cantilever monoshock at the rear with adjustable rebound (preload adjustment on some market variants) — genuine, real suspension tunability rather than a fixed, non-adjustable setup common at this price point. Braking uses double J.Juan discs with a double-piston caliper up front and a single J.Juan disc with a single-piston caliper at the rear, backed by Continental dual-channel ABS, riding on CST tires (120/70-17 front, 160/60-17 rear) on cast alloy wheels.

Confirmed dimensions list a 2,114mm length, 830mm width, 1,105mm height, 1,415mm wheelbase, 150mm of ground clearance, a 780mm (30.7-inch) seat height, and a 206kg kerb weight, with a 17-litre fuel tank delivering a genuine 354km real-world range. Offered in Nebula White and Athens Blue colorways, this platform complies with Europe's A2 licence restrictions, sharing its fundamental steel-frame chassis architecture with the larger-displacement 650NK sold alongside it.

This factory service manual covers the procedures, torque specs, and diagrams needed to keep a 2022-2023 400NK running the way it was built to.
