SR GT 125 (2022-Onwards): The A1-License Version of Aprilia's Adventure Scooter
Alongside the range-topping 200, Aprilia built the SR GT specifically to work for riders restricted to smaller displacements — the 125cc version shares the exact same double-cradle steel frame, Showa suspension, and adventure-scooter styling as its bigger sibling, just scaled down to meet A1 licensing limits common across European and Asian markets.
Power comes from the i-get 125 engine, a smaller-displacement single-cylinder unit sharing its fundamental architecture and Start & Stop technology with the 200cc version, delivering output tuned specifically to stay within A1 license power limits while still offering genuinely usable acceleration for city and light touring duty. A CVT automatic transmission handles power delivery, feeding through Euro5-compliant fueling for clean, consistent running in stop-and-go traffic.
The chassis carries the same genuinely upmarket hardware found on the 200: a 33mm Showa telescopic fork with 120mm of front travel, a twin-shock Showa rear end with adjustable preload, and 260mm front / 220mm rear disc brakes — a spec sheet that punches well above typical 125cc scooter norms. Styling stays identical to the 200 as well: a tall windscreen, split LED headlights, a wide motorcycle-style handlebar, and a raised, adventure-inspired stance built around 14-inch front and 13-inch rear wheels shod in dual-purpose tires. The same practical 25-litre under-seat storage compartment swallows a full-face helmet, paired with an LCD instrument cluster offering optional Bluetooth connectivity. Seat height matches the 200 at around 799mm (31.5 in), giving smaller-license riders the same commanding, upright riding position without the larger engine's added displacement.
