Low Rider ST (2024): "ST" Stands for Sport-Touring, and It Shows

Cycle World summed up the Low Rider ST's transformation from its S-model sibling perfectly: "amazing how much the fairing and bags change its attitude" — the same underlying platform suddenly reads as genuinely outlaw. Harley's own PR team confirmed what "ST" means: Sport Touring, a designation the bike earns through an upright riding position, mid-mount foot controls, and a frame-mounted fairing directly inspired by the 1983 FXRT Sport Glide — the final Shovelhead-era FXR before Harley's Evolution engine took over.

Built on the Low Rider S platform and sharing its Milwaukee-Eight 117, the ST makes the same claimed 103 hp at 4,750 rpm and 125 lb-ft of torque at 3,500 rpm, running through a tuned Heavy Breather intake and high-flow exhaust. What sets the ST apart mechanically is a stiffer front spring rate and roughly 50 lbs of added weight over the S — testers found this combination gave the bike a notably planted, confident feel rather than making it feel sluggish. Standard ABS and traction control round out the safety package.

The FXRT-inspired fairing was engineered using computational fluid dynamics, with vents designed to reduce cockpit turbulence — though unlike touring-model fairings, these vents have no closing mechanism. Rockford Fosgate speakers are built in, though there's no internal storage space. Compact removable saddlebags offer nearly 2 cubic feet of capacity and can be pulled off quickly for a leaner look. Dark bronze cast aluminum Radiate wheels carry 31-series Michelin Scorcher tires front and rear. Shipped weight comes in at 694 lbs (721 lbs in running order), with a 5-gallon tank. 2024 pricing started at $23,399 for Billiard Gray, with additional colors including a Tobacco Fade option running up to $1,900 more.
