CVO Street Glide (2024): The Largest Engine Ever Factory-Installed on a Harley Tourer

2024 doubles as CVO's 25th anniversary — the line debuted in 1999 — and every CVO model that year carries a unique anniversary graphic to mark it. The CVO Street Glide itself received its complete redesign in mid-2023, so 2024 largely carries that platform forward, adding two new color-shifting paint options along with the milestone badging.

At its heart sits the Milwaukee-Eight VVT 121, the highest-displacement powertrain Harley has ever factory-installed on a touring motorcycle: 121 cubic inches via a 4.075 in. bore and 4.625 in. stroke, with an 11.4:1 compression ratio delivering a claimed 139 lb-ft of torque at 3,000 rpm — roughly 8% more torque and 9.5% more horsepower than the Twin-Cooled Milwaukee-Eight 117 it's based on. Variable valve timing, a reworked cylinder head and combustion chamber shape, an upgraded cooling system, and a larger intake and throttle body all contribute to the gains, with liquid-cooled heads keeping things composed under sustained load.

The chassis pairs dual adjustable emulsion suspension — remote preload adjustment on the left shock, threaded preload on the right — with Brembo braking for genuinely sporting stopping power on a full-dress tourer. A 12.3-inch Skyline OS touchscreen, roughly 90% larger than the previous-generation display, anchors the fairing with improved audio and deeper personalization options. 2024 colors included a color-shifting Copperhead with Warm-Shift pinstripes, moving between cooler red and copper tones depending on light angle, and Legendary Orange with Raven Metallic and Atlas Silver brushed accents. Shipped weight comes in at 800 lbs (838 lbs in running order), with a 6-gallon tank. Pricing started around $42,999-$44,499 depending on colorway.
