Street Bob 114 (2022): The Custom Canvas Fully Settles Into the Lineup
Harley's own branding for the 2022 model year calls the Street Bob "the custom canvas" — a nod to just how many owners treat this bike as a starting point rather than a finished product. First introduced in 2021, by 2022 the 114-powered Street Bob had fully claimed its place in the lineup, expanding to four paint schemes including the classic "Number One" graphic on the fuel tank, a callback to Harley's racing heritage.
The Milwaukee-Eight 114 remains the largest engine Harley fits to the Softail frame, delivering a claimed 119 lb-ft of torque through a 6-speed gearbox with belt final drive. Despite carrying the biggest standard engine in the range, the Street Bob is still the lightest bike in the entire Softail lineup — a combination that gives it a distinctly quick, torque-heavy feel off the line. The lightweight, stiff Softail frame keeps the classic hardtail-look lines while delivering a genuinely responsive ride, and the easily adjustable mono-shock rear suspension allows for dynamic cornering without disturbing that silhouette.
Styling stays deliberately raw: blacked-out finishes throughout, black Annihilator cast aluminum wheels, mini-ape handlebars, and 2-up seating for genuine passenger capability despite the stripped-down look. 2022 colors included Vivid Black, Gauntlet Gray Metallic, Redline Red, and Fastback Blue, with pricing starting at $15,349.
