The 107 that had been the standard Heritage Classic option is gone entirely; every 2022 Heritage Classic ships with the Milwaukee-Eight 114 as the only powerplant available, folding what used to be a two-tier model into one, more powerful standard offering.
That 114 delivers a claimed 119 lb-ft of torque, with reviewers noting the trade-off is more noticeable vibration through the bars compared to the outgoing 107 — a fair exchange, most owners have found, for the extra pull when riding two-up. New for 2022 are additional finish options: buyers can choose between Chrome trim (with black 9-spoke cast aluminum or chrome laced wheels) and Black trim (with black 9-spoke cast aluminum or black laced wheels), letting the same 114-powered chassis wear either the traditional gangster-chrome look or a fully blacked-out treatment.
The powertrain itself carries a two-tone finish regardless of trim choice: wrinkle-black upper rocker, camshaft, transmission, and primary covers set against gloss-black lower rocker covers, with a gloss-black rear lightbar, windshield brackets, and matte-black exhaust shields finished off with chrome muffler tips.
