Fat Bob 114: Aggressive Redesign, Muscular Torque, All-Road Attitude

Introduced for 2018 and carried into 2021 with no changes beyond fresh colors, the Fat Bob 114 leans into a deliberately aggressive redesign that broke from Harley's older Fat Bob styling. The most distinctive touch is the split, dual-headlight LED front end, set into an inverted race-style single-cartridge fork wrapped around a fat 150mm front tire — a look nothing else in the Softail range shares.

Power comes from the Milwaukee-Eight 114, putting out a claimed 118 lb-ft of torque through a 6-speed gearbox, running electronic sequential port fuel injection and a 2-into-2 shorty dual exhaust finished in contrasting bronze. Bore and stroke sit at 4.016 in. and 4.5 in., with a 10.5:1 compression ratio. Mantis-style cast aluminum wheels carry a 150/80B16 front and 180/70B16 rear tire, gripped by dual disc brakes designed to handle the extra torque.

Dimensions run 92.1 in. long with a 63.6 in. wheelbase and a 27.7 in. laden seat height — noticeably taller than most Softail cruisers, part of what gives the Fat Bob its more upright, muscular riding stance. Fuel capacity sits at 3.6 gallons, with a shipped weight of 653 lbs. Standard equipment includes ABS, keyless ignition, and a security system, with 2021 pricing starting at $18,799 for Vivid Black.
