Low Rider (2020): '70s Cues, Chrome Finish, Milwaukee-Eight 107 Power

Where the Low Rider S went blacked-out and aggressive for 2020, the standard FXLR Low Rider stuck to a more traditional recipe — chromed-out from the headlight visor to the exhaust, with dual tank-mounted gauges and '70s-inspired tank graphics carrying the original Low Rider's design language forward more than four decades after the FXS debuted in 1977. Harley made no notable changes to the model for 2020, letting the reworked Softail platform speak for itself.

Power comes from the Milwaukee-Eight 107, a 3.937 in. bore and 4.375 in. stroke totaling 107 cu in, running a 10.0:1 compression ratio through electronic sequential port fuel injection and a chromed 2-into-2 shotgun exhaust. Independent dyno testing on the same-generation engine has shown output in the range of 76 hp and around 106-110 lb-ft of torque, delivered through a 6-speed gearbox with belt final drive. A racing-style cartridge fork up front and adjustable mono-shock rear preserve the Softail's hidden-suspension, hardtail-look chassis.

Dimensions run 92.7 in. long with a 64.2 in. wheelbase, 30-degree steering rake, and a low 26.2 in. laden seat height. It rolls on a 110/90B19 front and 180/70B16 rear tire, riding on bold cast-aluminum wheels, with a 5-gallon tank and 5-quart oil capacity. Shipped weight comes in at 633 lbs. 2020 pricing started at $14,899 for Vivid Black — considerably below the $17,999 asking price of the Low Rider S.
