Fat Bob 107: Muscular Looks, Milwaukee-Eight Power, Softail Agility
The Fat Bob doesn't do subtle. A 2-into-1-into-2 upswept exhaust, chunky fat tires on bold aluminum wheels, and a dual-headlight face give it a deliberately aggressive stance that Harley built specifically to "shake up the status quo" against more traditional cruiser styling. Underneath, the reinvented Softail frame introduced for 2018 shed considerable weight and stiffened the chassis, giving the Fat Bob genuinely agile cornering for a bike this muscular-looking.
The Milwaukee-Eight 107 displaces 1,745cc, delivering torque through a 6-speed gearbox with belt final drive, running electronic sequential port fuel injection through the model's signature upswept dual exhaust. Inverted front forks sharpen handling response, while an easily adjustable rear shock lets the suspension be tuned without sacrificing the Softail's hidden-shock, hardtail-look silhouette.
Dimensions run 92.1 in. long with a 63.6 in. wheelbase, 28-degree rake, and 27.7 in. laden seat height — a notably taller, more upright stance than most Softail cruisers, matching the bike's more muscular intent. Front and rear tires run 150/80-16 and 180/70B16, with a 3.6-gallon tank and shipped weight around 653 lbs.
