Introduced for 2019 and carried into 2020, the FXDR 114 is Harley's answer to the pro-street/musclebike category — a bike TopSpeed's own reviewer called "a Frankenstein creation" in the best possible sense, pulling styling cues from Screamin' Eagle NHRA drag bikes and even fighter-jet design language rather than any previous Softail. It became the most powerful production Softail in Harley's lineup on release, a title it earned honestly.

Power comes from the Milwaukee-Eight 114, a 1,868cc, four-valve-per-cylinder, 45-degree V-twin making a claimed 119 lb-ft of torque at 3,500 rpm through a 6-speed gearbox with an assist-and-slipper clutch. Independent dyno testing has shown around 78.7 hp and 119 lb-ft at the rear wheel — genuinely strong numbers backed by a heavy-flywheel feel Harley didn't engineer away. A 43mm inverted cartridge fork offers over five inches of travel, aluminum swingarm and subframe components cut weight, and a massive 240mm Michelin Scorcher rear tire puts the power down.

Despite the drag-strip inspiration, the FXDR is genuinely capable in corners — a 34-degree rake and 68.4-inch wheelbase would suggest otherwise, but reviewers have consistently noted it handles better than its stance implies, with more cornering clearance than most other Softails. Styling stays aggressive throughout: a mini speedscreen over an LCD instrument panel, low-profile clip-on bars in place of a full handlebar, and a forward-facing air intake feeding the engine. 2020 pricing started at $18,999, with colors including Vivid Black, Barracuda Silver Denim, Black Denim, Performance Orange, and River Rock Gray Denim.
