Fat Boy 107 (2020): Lighter Build, Same Unmistakable Stance

Thirty-plus years after debuting in 1988, the Fat Boy remains instantly recognizable — and the version built on the reworked 2018 Softail platform is genuinely lighter than the generation it replaced, shedding roughly 14kg while keeping every visual cue that made the silhouette famous. Solid-disc 18-inch Lakester wheels, a 160mm front tire (still the widest Harley has offered from the factory) and a 240mm rear tire give it the same low, wide, muscular stance that made Arnold Schwarzenegger's screen ride in Terminator 2 so instantly iconic.

The 107-badged Fat Boy runs the smaller of the two Milwaukee-Eight options offered on this generation, displacing 1,745cc for a claimed 109 lb-ft of torque against the 114's 119 lb-ft. Underneath, a Showa rear monoshock mounted beneath the seat replaced the old twin-shock setup, while a Showa Dual Bending Valve front fork uses dual internal valves for genuinely linear damping — a meaningfully more sophisticated setup than the Fat Boy's older twin-shock chassis ever offered.

Styling stays true to the icon's satin chrome finishes and signature LED lighting, with dimensions running 93.3 in. long. Both engine options share the same chassis, tires, and wheel package — the choice between 107 and 114 comes down purely to how much torque a rider wants on tap.
